Formats and length
How long is a keynote by Maarten?
You choose 30, 45 or 60 minutes. With audience Q&A it takes 45 to 75 minutes. An interactive workshop takes 60 to 90 minutes.
What is the difference between a keynote, a workshop and an event chair?
A keynote is one story that sets the theme of the day. In a workshop a smaller group gets to work itself. An event chair runs the whole programme. Maarten does all three, also in combination.
Which topics does Maarten speak on?
Resilience, leadership and teamwork. Drawing on his book De laatste slag, he also talks about the loss, pain and failure behind his achievements.

Yes. If your organisation works with an annual theme, a conference theme or a specific challenge, Maarten builds a talk around it, with his own story as the common thread.
Is there a keynote based on the book De laatste slag?
Yes. In a keynote of 30, 45 or 60 minutes Maarten tells the story from the book: what keeping going really costs and when you should stop.

Preparation and technical needs
How is the talk prepared?
In a short call with Maarten you discuss the goal of the event, who will be in the room and what should be different afterwards. The slot in the programme matters too.
What can we prepare ourselves?
Decide what should be different afterwards and what is really going on. Schedule the keynote when people are still sharp, with good sound and a clear view of the screen from every seat.
What does Maarten need at the venue?
A microphone, a screen and a clicker. There are no special requirements beyond that; you agree the technical details in advance.
